INSURANCE NOT ON FILE <br />Doti WORK MAY :O:TT PROCEED <br />�Nt CLERK OF COUNCIL <br />1J DATE: <br />N-2022-164 <br />Sbn.a� fI�AGREEMENT WITH CHERUB EXECUTIVE SERVICES, TO PROVIDE SECURITY <br />SERVICES AT CITY'S JUNETEENTH EVENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this L day of June, 2022, by and between Cherub <br />Executive Services, a California corporation ("Contractor"), and the City of Santa Ana, a charter <br />city and municipal corporation organized and existing under the Constitution and laws of the State <br />of California ("City"). <br />RECITALS <br />A. The City desires to retain a contractor to provide unarmed security guard services at <br />the City's Juneteenth event. <br />B. Contractor represents that Contractor is able and willing to provide such services to <br />the City. <br />C. In undertaking the performance of this Agreement, Contractor represents that it is <br />knowledgeable in its field and that any services performed by Contractor under this <br />Agreement will be performed in compliance with such standards as may reasonably <br />be expected. <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective promises, and subject to the <br />terms and conditions hereinafter set forth, the parties agree as follows: <br />1. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />a. Contractor shall provide eight (8) unarmed security guards to conduct security <br />services including roving security patrols and any other security services needed <br />for the City's Juneteenth Celebration ("the Event") event on June 18, 2022 at <br />Centennial Park (3000 W. Edinger Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92704). <br />b. All security guards assigned to provide services pursuant to this Agreement shall <br />be registered with the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. <br />C. Security services will be provided between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. <br />for the Event. <br />d. It is anticipated that each security guard that provides services pursuant to this <br />Agreement shall work eight hours each. Overtime is not authorized unless agreed <br />to in writing by an authorized representative of the City and Contractor. <br />e. Contractor shall provide a security plan to the City's Parks, Recreation and <br />Community Services Department within seventy-two hours of the Event. <br />Page 1 of 9 <br />
