Teens Engaged in <br />Learning and Leadership (TELL) will train 12 teens, ages 14-19 to conduct meaningful work in their community <br />through mentoring, internships, community service, and classroom training. Teens learn to set goals and they <br />develop a goal plan of training, activities, and experiences that will help them achieve their goals. These activities <br />are directly related to the work that is conducted at Delhi Center for the community. Teens learn about riskfactors <br />that negatively impact young people and about protective factors that help combat their adverse results. Teens <br />take what they learn and design and conduct educational activities to train 31 younger children, ages 11-13 to <br />build resiliency against bullying. <br />The Director of Operations will dedicate approximately two in -kind hours per week to the proposed program to <br />develop and implement training and leadership development activities for teens and to help the teens develop <br />bullying prevention training activities for the younger children and will also dedicate four in -kind hours per week <br />for administrative management duties, such as processing payroll, timecards, purchases, invoices, data tracking, <br />etc. <br />The Program Assistant (.75 FTE) will assume the lead role of project coordinator and will coordinate all aspects of <br />the program. Oversees program development, implementation, supervision, and evaluation; coordinates with <br />other teen program activities funded by other sources and will ensure proper accounting and tracking of <br />deliverables. Serves as a mentor, trains & supervises interns in program development and event planning; <br />coordinates with & schedules guest speakers assist with developing and conducting bullying prevention activities <br />for teens & children, and coordinates parent workshops. Due to the reduced funding, .25 of the salary will be <br />covered by other sources. <br />Originally, the grant funds were going to cover the following curriculum. Due to the reduced funding awarded, <br />Delhi Center will absorb the curriculum Cost. The Anti -Bullying Curriculum will include lesson plans and <br />supplemental activities, including a printed curriculum manual with easy -to -teach lessons, lesson scripts and <br />instructions, and cues for visual aids used during the lesson and post -lesson activities. A user-friendly guide <br />introduces social and emotional learning and other online materials, and support is available to help with <br />curriculum implementation and evaluation. The Curriculum is for 6th through 8th grade, for 31 students who will <br />be taught by 12 teens. Also included is a National Bullying Prevention Center Resource Kit, which includes an Idea <br />Guide, Posters, Informational Handouts, Activity Sheets, Cards with Intentional Acts of Kindness, Acceptance, and <br />Inclusion, Pledge Forms, Decals, Pencils, Informational Flyers, Bookmarks (for 31 students). <br />Other sunnlies inrluded in the hudept are nffirp and art sunnlips_ nanpr. npns. naints. flash drivPs. file folders.
