CDBG funding will support our core program, Steps to Independence, which provides <br />transitional housing, clothing, healthy meals, and recently added, legal advocacy, meeting the most basic need of <br />homeless women. We then work to develop long-term self-sufficiency by addressing employment, medical and <br />mental health challenges, budgeting, and housing options. Case managers provide 1:1 personalized help for each <br />woman to overcome issues that led to their homelessness. We support graduates to help them maintain self- <br />sufficiency and become productive members of our community. In 2022-2023, we anticipate serving around 32 <br />participants through our Steps to Independence program (32 unduplicated Santa Ana residents). <br />Funding will support the following staff positions: <br />Director of Programs (0.09 FTE) - Oversees staff and programming for CDBG grant. Responsible for creating <br />strategic partnerships, data management and reporting. <br />Program Manager (0.03 FTE) - Manages client intake and interviews, housing placements and HMIS reporting. <br />Provides direct client services including case management, crisis intervention, and legal advocacy. <br />Program Intake & Office Manager (0.1 FTE) - Screens new clients for program, assists with intake process, provides <br />direct administrative support for clients and staff. Manages all facility -related duties including ordering/stocking <br />supplies, coordinating vendors and scheduling cleanings, maintenance/repairs and the exterminator. Coordinates <br />the facility health, safety and emergency polices/procedures, ensuring facility is up to code. <br />Volunteer & Program Engagement Manager (0.1 FTE) - Coordinates meals and workshops for program participants, <br />oversees the volunteer program which provides workshops and support to clients and the facility. Manages <br />external relations with volunteers, partners and coordinates donations of supplies. <br />Indirect Costs (10%) - Indirect Costs support administrative, accounting, grant management and overhead costs for <br />the grant. <br />
