June 13, 2022 <br />Page 3 <br />2 <br />5 <br />8 <br />8 <br />The recommended action adopts a resolution of Planning Commission’s determination <br />that vacation of the portion of alley is consistent with the General Plan. <br />Project Description <br />The portion of alley to be vacated currently contains an enclosed patio area with a <br />combination block wall/wrought iron fence, gas lamp lighting fixtures, and brick pavers. <br />Additionally, vacation area contains a utility enclosure with electrical panels, a water main <br />manifold, and gas meters. No changes to the existing improvements are proposed. <br />Table 1: Project and Location Information <br />Project Analysis <br />There is no project at this location. <br />Public Notification <br />As a non-summary street vacation, the alley vacation will be considered by City Council <br />at two separate regular public meetings. For the first meeting, staff will recommend City <br />Council adopt a resolution declaring its intent to vacate the alley and set a date for a <br />public hearing. At the second meeting, staff will recommend City Council adopt a <br />resolution vacating the alley after a public hearing. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed project is <br />exempt from further review.
