Michael Novick, Sr. — Senior Project Manager <br />B.A School of Environmental Design and Planning, University of Colorado, Boulder 1983 <br />Mr. Novick has 38 years of experience in the design and development of buildings, capital <br />planning, and facility condition assessments. Since 2015, Mr. Novick has been the Sr. <br />Project Manager within the Building Sciences and Engineering division, Capital Planning <br />Services group of AEI Consultants. Principal responsibilities include leading portfolio <br />assessment teams, managing client relationships, and review of technical reports. <br />Mr. Novick is knowledgeable with the ASTM Standard Guide for Property Condition <br />Assessments, accessibility standards including UFAS, FHAA, ADA, and Section 504. <br />Mr. Novick has a thorough understanding of the various site and building components and <br />systems that make up a property, the types of issues that arise, and needs of the clients. <br />RELEVANT PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br />• Maryland School for the Blind - Development and implementation of Facility <br />Condition Assessment and Preventative Maintenance Program to comply with the State <br />of Maryland budgeting program requirements, evaluating 13 facilities utilizing <br />architectural, engineering, and specialty service personnel. Responsible for designing <br />and implementing a project approach that provided comprehensive facility condition <br />assessments services consisting of evaluating backlog maintenance and costs required <br />to remedy deteriorating conditions, identify near -term needs to maintain standards, <br />and assure the service integrity of aging systems and building components. <br />• University of Alabama — Managed multi -disciplinary team to develop 10-Year <br />forecast of site and building component maintenance and life cycle replacement <br />recommendations as well as accessibility barriers. Evaluation scope included 10+ MM <br />SF, 195 structures composed of modern construction, historical buildings, residential <br />high-rise buildings, sports complexes, science institutions, and senior living facilities. <br />• Evergreen School District — Managed and directed multi -disciplinary team on <br />portfolio of 18 elementary and middle school campuses of the Evergreen School <br />District as well as the district's main administrative offices. The portfolio comprises a <br />total building area of over 1.2MM SF. <br />• City of Columbia, MO — Managed site team in field assessments and preparation of <br />Facility Condition Assessment Reports across 23 municipal buildings including a <br />courthouse, police station and training centers, fire stations, city hall, and office <br />buildings. <br />• Veterans Administration, Denver — Directed and managed AEI team regarding <br />space management planning and plan verification. <br />Training/ Licenses/Registrations: <br />Licensed Architect, State of Colorado <br />Licensed Architect, State of Pennsylvania <br />Licensed Architect, State of Texas <br />Member: American Institute of Architects <br />AEI Consultants <br />
