Exhibit A <br />PADRES UNIDOS <br />II. SCOPE OF WORK: (3 page max) <br />1. Proposal shall include details of the youth program/service to be provided, the tasks to be <br />accomplished, duration of the program (proposals may he up to two years) and the deliverables to be <br />provided <br />Padres Unidos' proposed service delivery approach is based largely on our existing Outreach, Support <br />and Education platform. <br />Youth and Parent Conjoint Family Education, Outreach and Support Module <br />"24 weeks of service per program" <br />**3 SITES AVAILABLE FOR ONE YEAR <br />• 2 weeks of Outreach, including two door-to-door campaigns in the area <br />• 2 weeks of protective factors and risk factors assessments (from participants as well as local <br />school) <br />YOUTH ENGAGEMENT AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION & PARENT CONJOINT <br />OUTREACH, SUPPORT AND EDUCATION COMPONENT: <br />• Youth and Parent Outreach and Education a minimum of 15 participants, for 2 hours a day once a <br />week for 20 weeks. <br />• 1 hours of Parent and Youth (separately) Support and Education component. <br />• 1 hour of Teen and Parent Conjoint component. <br />• Parent curriculum is developed by leveraging existing research that shows that the more involved <br />and engaged an adult is in the youth's life the higher likelihood of success, The more engaged a <br />parent is, the youth experiences a decrease in violent behaviors and an increase in prosocial <br />behaviors. Topics include but are not limited to; functional vs. dysfunctional love, conflict <br />resolution, family systems, and trauma/generational trauma, mental health and more, <br />• Youth curriculum is developed leveraging Positive youth development (PYD), a strengths -based <br />approach used to support the development of young people's skills, nurture their interests and <br />values, seek and 'incorporate their input, and connect them to positive adults and useful resources. <br />Topics include but are not limited to: friends, family, mental health, substance use, educational <br />goals, trauma, life goals developments. <br />SIBLINGS OF YOUTH ENGAGEMENT AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION COMPONENT: <br />2 hours a day once a week for 20 weeks. Number of elementary school aged children sibling <br />spaces allocated per program is 20, <br />• The curriculum for the sibling component is designed to increase support for siblings of high -risk <br />youth. In order to increase the frequency of or improve the quality of prosocial interactions, as <br />well as to improve emotional responding and reduce inappropriate and challenging behaviors, we <br />create a safe and trusting environment for them to explore and share their experiences. This <br />facilitates growth. <br />• Structured Play Child -Care included for 2 to 5 year -old children. <br />Padres Unities has spent many years developing program curricula and materials using effective programs <br />as a guide in crafting intervention, support and education programs that strengthen families. Starting with <br />the experience garnered during the provision of services to families through contracts with the Orange <br />County Social Services Agency and later the Santa Ana Unified School District and guided by a Clinical <br />Psychologist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, the Parent Outreach and Education program is a <br />highly effective intervention proven to strengthen families. The Parent Outreach and Education program <br />includes a strengths and needs assessment at the outset of each class.
