the opportunity to be placed at the Community Action Partnership headquarters where <br />they will load and unload trucks, package boxes of food and deliver to 41 food and 8 <br />diaper bank partner agencies. This includes labor support at drive up distribution events <br />(traffic control, set up logistics, and data collection) as well as, providing work <br />experience in their administrative offices for energy and environmental services. <br />While addressing climate resilience, youth will work on OCCC projects that include fire <br />fuel reduction removing debris from waterways, removing non-native/invasive <br />trees/plants, install native plants and perform other erosion control measures at public <br />parks, trails, and wetlands. <br />While addressing COVID-19 Recovery, youth will work with Goodwill of Orange County <br />supporting adults with disabilities through their Human Services Division and <br />Retail/Donations/Processing positions which include: Sales Associates, E-Commerce, <br />Used Goods Processor, Dock Helpers, Store Donation Attendants and Employment <br />Training Support as Job Coaches. <br />The OCCC shall develop a worksite agreement following established City <br />guidelines, for each worksite training site developed and used for the youth <br />work experience. Worksite supervisors shall receive an orientation regarding <br />their roles and responsibilities and the intent and purpose of the program. A <br />copy of the executed worksite agreement and evidence of the orientation is to <br />be maintained on file and a copy is given to each worksite supervisor. <br />The OCCC shall ensure that the services are provided in a manner that is sensitive to <br />literacy, language, and socio-cultural issues, which may impact the participants. <br />OCCC staff shall be trained in cultural differences to ensure their ability to recognize <br />and help participants who demonstrate language or cultural barriers to employment. <br />The OCCC must certify that it will comply with the California Drug -Free Workplace Act <br />of 1990. <br />
