Clerk of the Council Office <br />_ www.santa-ana.org/departments/clerk-of-the-council/ <br />Item # 24 <br />o`7, City of Santa Ana <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701 <br />Staff Report <br />September 20, 2022 <br />TOPIC: Amend Conflict of Interest Code Policy <br />AGENDA TITLE: <br />Biennial Review Conflict of Interest Code Policy, List of Designated Classifications <br />Required to Annual Disclosure Form (Statement of Economic Interests Form) <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Adopt a resolution amending the City of Santa Ana Conflict of Interest Code Policy. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The California State Government Code specifies that local agencies must review their <br />Conflict of Interest Codes each even -numbered year. Changes to the codes must be <br />adopted by the City Council as the code reviewing body for City agencies and <br />departments. <br />Pursuant to State requirements, each agency in the City of Santa Ana has reviewed the <br />classifications in their department and proposed the changes as reflected in the attached <br />resolution. The recommendations include the addition of new classifications added to the <br />City's budget and deletion of positions removed from the budget or whose duties have <br />changed and no longer include making or participating in governmental decisions. The <br />following changes to the Conflict of Interest Code list of designated filers are reflected in <br />the resolution attached. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact with this action. <br />EXHIBIT(S) <br />1.
