PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Mayor Sarmiento <br />MINUTES: Mayor Pro Tem Bacerra led the pledge of allegiance. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT — Members of the public may address the City Council only on items <br />listed on the Special Meeting Agenda. <br />MINUTES: Jackie Cordova spoke in regard to the use of funds from cannabis and taxes. <br />Also, spoke out in support of police oversight and decriminalizing residents. <br />Cristian Martinez with UFCW Local 324 is supportive of a lower tax proposal to benefit <br />cannabis workers. <br />Derek Smith with UFCW Local 324 supports a lower tax proposal. <br />Kevin Brahmbhatl with OCAA spoke in support of a lower tax for cannabis. <br />Glenda Garcia with OCAA spoke in support of a lower tax for cannabis for retail, <br />manufacturing and distribution. <br />David Greenberg with Marche Co spoke in support of lower tax for cannabis. <br />Nam Tran with The Goodfellas Group spoke in support of lower tax rates for cannabis. <br />James Shih with OCAA and My Green Network spoke in support of lower tax rates for <br />cannabis. <br />Dana Cisneros with Orange County Norml spoke in support of lower tax rates for cannabis <br />for veterans and those who lack access. <br />Jeff DaPra with Butter spoke in support of lower tax rates for cannabis and banning <br />background checks for employees. <br />Robert Tran spoke in support of lower tax rates for cannabis. <br />Brandon Sisco with BTJ Ventures spoke in support of lower tax rates for cannabis and in <br />support of more permits. <br />Chris Glew spoke in support of lower tax rates for cannabis. <br />Elliot Lewis with Catalyst Cannabis spoke in support of lower tax rates for cannabis in <br />distribution, manufacturing and cultivation.
