I encourage everyone to have a part
in the solution to rotate the annual cold weather shelter throughout different cities within the different
Service Planning Area's (SPA). It is imperative that all cities in Orange County take responsibility to
serve homeless individuals during the cold weather season.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) initiated Continuums of Care (CoCs)
that include a wide range of representatives from various public and private entities, rich in Orange
County, are charged with promoting and implementing evidence -based, best, promising, and emerging
practices for preventing and ending homelessness. I commend the city of Santa Ana for participating in
the California Continuum of Care. Santa Ana has been doing their fair share to service this vulnerable
population by providing shelter opportunities with local providers as well as permanent supportive
housing, and mental health service outreach.
I respectfully request that you continue to work with Orange County's wide range of representatives and
entities that assist to protect the vulnerable homeless individuals in our cities. I thank you for your
attention to this important matter.
Respectfully,
`t
ezkliis Corre
Member of Congress
CORREA.HOUSE GOV
