Walk'n Rollers <br />provides education and encouragement activities <br />in cities throughout Southern California focused <br />on pedestrian and bicycle safety, safe routes to <br />school programming and community engage- <br />ment. Jim combines his enthusiasm with a skill set <br />that includes education, leadership, and commu- <br />nity activism in every project. Utilizing various ac- <br />tivities including Kids Bike Skills Workshops, open <br />streets events, walk audits and more, Walk'n <br />Rollers has worked with government agencies, <br />school districts and urban planning/environmen- <br />tal engineering firms on programs in Los Angeles, <br />Orange and Riverside counties. <br />Safe Routes to School Coordinator, Culver City <br />September zoi3.October zozi <br />Developed a city-wide program establishing active <br />transportation as a viable means fort kids to tran- <br />sit to and from and school safely without acar. <br />Established and maintains regular communica- <br />tions with SRTS volunteers, the school district, <br />city staff and school administrators <br />Developing and promoting programs and activi- <br />ties and working with advisory committees as a <br />consistent community voice. <br />Project Lead, Korea Town Block Party Open <br />Streets Event, 2021 <br />Responsible for coordinating all logistics for this <br />one day, two block open streets event, funded <br />through SCAG/OTS. <br />Project Lead, ST SmART Community Event, Sun- <br />land/Tujunga,zozi <br />Responsible for coordinating and hosting student <br />creative visioning projects both online and in -per- <br />son as well as all logistics for this one day commu- <br />nity event. Coordinated Walk'n Rollers -hosted <br />Kids Bike Skills workshop and helmet distribution. <br />Project Coordinator, Inland Empire <br />As part of aSouthern California Association of <br />Governments (SCAG) Go Human project in the In- <br />land Empire (four cities, Summer 20i8), Jim coordi- <br />nated and led a series of community events and <br />Walk Audits focused on building enthusiasm for <br />active transportation and improving conditions <br />around the Metrolink Station in Riverside. Four <br />walking routes and bike routes were selected, <br />scouted and mapped in preparation for the event. <br />Project Lead, Moreno Valley <br />Developed and a local SRTS program that engaged <br />students of all educational levels and the greater <br />community <br />Project Lead, Orange County Pedestrian and Bicy- <br />cle Safety Education Program <br />Responsible for leading a team of staff and volun- <br />teers in pedestrian and bicycle safety encourage- <br />ment programming.
