d. Assigned Patrol Guard shall act as an ambassador to educate park visitors on park rules, <br />regulations, existence of overt cameras in specific parks and request compliance. <br />e. Patrol Guards shall monitor parks use for compliance with all posted rules and ordinances, <br />requesting visitors to comply. Patrol Guards shall inspect park restrooms; walk through <br />community centers, pool areas, playground areas, parking lots, sport field areas, tennis court <br />facilities, basketball and volleyball courts, skate parks, bike trails, archery range, nature <br />center, clubhouses, and any other amenities within assigned areas. In the event there <br />continues to be lack of compliance, Patrol Guards shall contact the Santa Ana Police <br />Department to address situations they are unable to handle. <br />f. Patrol Guards shall not have the ability to issue citations on behalf of the City of Santa Ana. <br />g. The expectation of Patrol Guards is to patrol continually to deter vandalism, theft, illegal <br />activities, and noise ordinance violations, parking violations, non —approved use of park, <br />break-ins to site facilities, and loitering in the park after closed. <br />h. Patrol Guards shall use My Santa Ana app for any maintenance related concerns (i. e. graffiti <br />removal) and/ or note items on the daily log. <br />i. Assigned Patrol Guards shall immediately restrict access and report any health and/ or safety <br />issues immediately to the designated city contact via email no later than 8:00 am the following <br />morning. <br />j. Patrol Guards shall lock and/or unlock designated parking lot gates and restrooms daily during <br />their shifts Exhibit 1). <br />V. Patrol Guard Vehicles <br />a. Contractor shall provide vehicles used by Patrol Guards. <br />b. Contractors should not transport any residents in their vehicles while performing services <br />pursuant to this Agreement. <br />c. Contractors shall obey all traffic laws while using their vehicles to provide services pursuant <br />to this Agreement. <br />VI. Post Orders and Operating Procedures <br />Pursuant to the original Agreement between the parties (Exhibit A, paragraph 9 entitled 'Post Orders <br />(Duties) and Operating Procedures) the Contractor will work with Parks, Recreation and Community <br />Services Agency staff to establish a specific set if post orders and operating procedures for the roving <br />park patrols outlined in this Third Amendment. <br />SANTA ANA ZOO AT PRENTICE PARK <br />The Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park (the "Zoo') is located at 1801 East Chestnut Avenue, Santa Ana, <br />California, 92701. The Zoo covers 20.5 acres, including public parking areas, animal housing, exhibits, <br />and buildings. The Zoo handles 90 species with approximately 250 animals and 35 exhibits. <br />Hours of Zoo Operation <br />The Zoo is open to the public Monday through Sunday (seven days per week) from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 <br />p.m. The Zoo is closed to the public on Thanksgiving Day, December 25, and January 1; Zoo staff are <br />on the grounds every day of the year to provide animal care. <br />Note: During days of extremely inclement weather, the Zoo Manager may decide to close the Zoo to the <br />public. <br />I. SCOPE <br />Security guard services include four (4) security tour patrols nightly, seven (7) days per week, around <br />the Zoo property perimeter and through the Zoo grounds. These services serve as a deterrent against <br />RFP 22-026 Armed & Unarmed Security Guard Services at Various City Facilities Page 45 <br />
