City Hall and the Ross Annex are located at 20 Civic Center Plaza and open Monday thru Thursday and <br />every other Friday, 8am to 5pm. City Hall is located within the Civic Center Complex that includes City, <br />County, State and Federal offices. The City Departments housed at City Hall include City Manager's <br />Office, Clerk of the Council, City Attorney's Office, Community Development Agency, Personnel, Public <br />Works Agency, Planning and Building Agency and Finance Department. City Hall provides residents and <br />the public with various services ranging, but not limited to Cashier, Business License, Dog License, <br />Planning counter, Public Works counter, Building Plan Check, Community Preservation, Housing <br />Administration, Police/Fire Plan Check, Purchasing, Risk Management, Economic Development etc. <br />I. SCOPE <br />City Hall <br />The City's goal is to provide security services to serve as deterrence against crimes of vandalism, theft <br />and bodily injury at City Hall and Ross Annex and shall perform the following: <br />• Perform roving patrols of interior and exterior building areas. <br />• Complete incident and daily operating reports. <br />• Respond as necessary to support other life safety duties as identified in post orders and <br />standard operating procedures. <br />• Direct patrons to areas within the Civic Center. <br />• Mitigate various issues that arise in and around City Hall based on Civic Center activity. <br />• As needed, escort staff or visitors to parking locations. <br />• Report building maintenance and safety concerns as necessary. <br />1. Four times a day — Inspect public access restrooms to maintain cleanliness and advise <br />building maintenance of needed corrections. <br />2. Daily- Check and operate City Hall ADA wheelchair lift and document. <br />3. Daily- Verify and report building interior lighting deficiencies. <br />4. Daily Evening- Secure dumpsters at loading dock at the end of the day. <br />5. Daily Evening- Verify all exterior doors are locked after normal business hours. <br />6. Daily Evening- Verify and report building exterior lighting deficiencies. <br />7. Weekly- Check water pressure of all City Hall/Ross Annex drinking fountains. <br />8. Monthly- Check all City Hall/Ross Annex AED's per Risk Management Guidelines. <br />9. Monthly- Check Fire Extinguisher and sign tags for inspection per Risk Management <br />Guidelines. <br />10. As Needed- Adjust walk off mats at entries to City Hall and Ross Annex. <br />11. As Needed- Advise facilities management of building deficiencies; interior or exterior. <br />12. As Needed- And as requested by the superintendent perform other duties as needed. <br />Security Guard Officers present at City Council Meetings: <br />One security guard patrols the Council Chambers perimeter and the second security guard patrols the <br />parking structure (Building #19) in front of City Hall to provide a safer passage to and from Council <br />Chambers to Building #19. <br />Council Meetings <br />Council Meetings will be held every first and third Tuesdays of the month. <br />Officer duty hours: 1730-2100 hours or may be extended until 2300 hours.
