CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AGREEMENT <br />PROJECT NO.: 19-6951 (ATPSBIL-5063(193)) <br />SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL DAVIS ELEMENTARY ACCESS COMPLIANCE <br />o Contribute to the cost of the training <br />o Provide the instruction to the apprentice or trainee <br />o Pay the apprentice's or trainee's wages during the off -site training period <br />• If the CONTRACTOR complies with this section. <br />Each apprentice or trainee must: <br />• Begin training on the project as soon as feasible after the start of work involving the apprentice's <br />or trainee's skill <br />• Remain on the project as long as training opportunities exist in the apprentice's or trainee's work <br />classification or until the apprentice or trainee has completed the training program <br />The CONTRACTOR shall furnish the apprentice or trainee with a copy of the program that the <br />CONTRACTOR will comply with in providing the training. <br />16. PROHIBITION OF CERTAIN TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND VIDEO <br />SURVEILLANCE EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES <br />In response to significant national security concerns, the CITY shall check the prohibited vendor list before <br />making any telecommunications and video surveillance purchase because recipients and subrecipients of <br />federal funds are prohibited from obligating or expending loan or grant funds to: <br />• Procure or obtain; <br />• Extend or renew a contract to procure or obtain; or <br />• Enter into a contract (or extend or renew a contract) to procure or obtain equipment, services, or <br />systems that uses covered telecommunications equipment or services as a substantial or essential <br />component of any system, or as critical technology as part of any system. <br />The prohibited vendors (and their subsidiaries or affiliates) are: <br />• Huawei Technologies Company; <br />• ZTE Corporation; <br />• Hytera Communications Corporation; <br />• Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Company; <br />• Dahua Technology Company; and <br />• Subsidiaries or affiliates of the above -mentioned companies. <br />City Council 18 — 70 12/20/2022 <br />
