I would like to congratulate our new
mayor and council members!
Last year construction and financial hardship brought us all together and that was our eye opening time to
realize not only the Bid has not worked for us but all those years we were paying to be neglected, ignored,
abused, and cheated. Bid was working only for special interests (investors) and against us the actual merchants.
We reached out to our neighbors and thank the city commissioners and the MAJORITY of city council and
previous Mayor who understood our frustracion and reasoning and recommended and voted to kill the bid !
Tonight we are here to make sure you bury the Bid and stay vigilant that this abuse will never come back .
Also , it was mentioned on the past that Senator Tom Umberg was going to support our downtown with 1.2
million . We would like to know the status on those grants . We are still struggling , the downtown is not the
same . We need support to make sure our businesses survive .
We as the Merchants involved , understand the importance of working together with the city in order to build a
better business environment for customers and our community. In order to have an open conversation with you
and be involved in every decision that will affect our livelihood and businesses we introduce these people
Miss. Ana Laura Padilla
Miss. Marcela Prado
Miss. Ginette Sanchez
Mr.Shawn Makhani
You can contact the group through them . We are looking forward to more successful future and working
together .
Sent from my iPhone
i
