2. Term. <br />This Agreement shall be deemed effective beginning on February 27, 2023 <br />and shall continue until terminated in accordance with Section 9 of this Agreement. <br />3. Compensation. <br />3.1 Salary <br />City agrees to pay Employee as compensation for services rendered <br />pursuant to this Agreement, an annual base salary, commencing on February 27, 2023, <br />in the amount of $172,000 annually, payable in installment payments in the same <br />manner and at the same times as other City employees. <br />3.2 Mobile Phone and Electronic Devices <br />The City shall provide Employee with a mobile phone, laptop and/or <br />tablet for use in City business. Employee understands that all data and information <br />stored on such phone and electronic devices, including but not limited to records of <br />calls made and received, voice mail messages, and text messages may be considered <br />public records under the California Public Records Act. <br />3.3 Benefits <br />Except as expressly provided for in this Agreement, Employee shall receive the same <br />benefits applicable to City Executive Management employees as follows: <br />• Health and Welfare Benefits <br />• Leave Accruals and Cash -out Provisions <br />• Retirement Plan Contributions <br />• Tuition Reimbursement <br />• Retirement Health Savings Plan <br />• Auto Allowance <br />• Deferred Compensation <br />3.3.1 Sick Leave Bank <br />Upon employment with the City, Employee shall be provided a bank of <br />175 hours of accrued sick leave. <br />2 <br />
