Neighboring Cities <br />•Tustin -Senior Advisory Board (SAB) <br />–Advisory body to staff and the Community Services Commission. <br />–They donot directly advise City Council, but one of the SAB <br />positions is a councilmember appointed by the Mayor. <br />–SAB’s role is focused primarily on the programs, activities, and <br />services that are based out of their Senior Center. <br />–Challenge: struggles with filling board positions. <br />•Costa Mesa –Single Liaison <br />–Had a Senior Commission, but was dissolved about three years <br />ago. <br />–In its place, the City assigned a single liaison to their Parks and <br />Community Services Commission. <br />Senior Citizens Commission Informational Report <br />Slide 5 <br />Item #18 <br />Parks and Recreation <br />March 7, 2023 <br /> <br />
