EXEMPT FROM FEES PURUSANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />Kdo/8131 /01 <br />RESOLUTION NO.2001-25 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA PLACING THE <br />HISTORIC STRUCTURES LOCATED AT 313 NORTH BIRCH <br />STREET, 322-326 WEST FOURTH STREET, AND 207 WEST <br />SECOND STREET WITHIN AN ESTABLISHED CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana hereby <br />finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On November 3, 1997, the City Council of the City of Santa -Ana by Resolution <br />number 97-046A placed the following historic properties on the Santa Ana <br />Register of Historic Properties: <br />Historic Name Address <br />Armory Hall/ American Legion Hall 313 North Birch Street, Santa Ana <br />West End Theatre 322-326 West Fourth Street, Santa Ana' <br />Southern Counties Gas Company 207 West Second Street, Santa Ana <br />B. The Armory Hall/ American Legion Hall, located at 313 North Birch Street, Santa <br />Ana, is listed on both the National Register and State Register. <br />1. This building has a historical and cultural significance to the City of Santa <br />Ana because of its role as the Company L Armory, which was a <br />significant focal point in the community's life in the early 1900's. <br />2. It has a unique architectural significance as an example of the Spanish <br />Colonial Revival architecture of the 1930's. <br />3. Based upon the foregoing, the subject property meets the minimal <br />standards of the landmark category pursuant to Section 30-2.2(1) of the <br />Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br />' This property was erroneously listed as 324 West Fourth Street in Resolution No. 97-046A; this address is the correct address <br />for this property. <br />Historic Resnurces Cnmmissinn e — 21 11 /3/2022 <br />City Council 21 — 131 ReN 1IQRA. 2001-25 <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
