DELHI CENTER
Building Health and Wealth
5/2/2023
Re: Item #27
Dearest Councilmembers,
Thank you for your continued support of Delhi Center.
Since 2017 Delhi Center has offered the Family Economic Succes Program (FES) which serves
Santa Ana residents from all walks of life. Due to the pandemic, the need for the FES program
has only increased. We continue to revise our program as needed to meet the community where
it is.
We appreciate the acknowledgment of Delhi's achievements in the FES program and the staff s
recommendation for additional funding. Should you approve to increase the funds awarded, we
will be able to serve an additional 17 clients during the 2023-2024 program year. By awarding
additional funds, the Delhi Center can serve more families with the same successful programs,
resources, and services provided to the clients and support more families in their journey to self-
sufficiency.
FES provides training and guidance Santa Ana residents need to navigate the -complex and
complicated systems that lead to financial success. It goes beyond the workshop structure
provided by many organizations that attempt to educate residents on financial stability by
ushering them through the processes needed to measurably improve their economic status.
The proposed program extends that strategy by ushering clients through the process that links
them to training and resources needed to mitigate the effects of criminal victimization that often
interrupts the progression of economic success if not addressed.
Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to our continued partnership in serving our
community.
4SSiinc4ar
iado-Hernandez
Interim CEO, Board President
Delhi Center
juanita@delhicenter.org
505 East Central Ave. Santa Ana, CA 92707
714.481.9600
