Orozco, Norma
From: Dana Jazayeri <dj@shopunlisted.com>
Sent: Tuesday, May 16, 2023 2:42 PM
To: eComment
Subject: Against Tianguis Market weekly closure
My name is Dana Jazayeri and I am the owner of Unlisted
and operator of Collective 2one9 located in the East End of
downtown Santa Ana directly on Fourth st. As a business
owner and downtown resident I find the importance for
community events. Yet, the Tianguis market desire to close
French st every week is excessive. Especially every
Saturday. We have on going issues with access and barriers
to enter the downtown parking structure on spurgeon.
Saturdays are an important day for "leased" tenants in the
downtown to prosper. A closure every week on French, on a
Saturday, will hurt our businesses. We have hurt long
enough with the pandemic, the failure to mitigate the
OCTA construction impact and the continued failure of
OCTA to properly market the downtown as "open for
business". I request that Tiangus Market be kept to once a
month and only on a Sunday. Thank you for your time
1
