<br />Technical Studies
<br />Historical Resources Assessments
<br />Dudek's built environment team is led by experienced architectural historians and historic preservation
<br />experts specializing in historic resource significance evaluations in consideration of the National
<br />Register of Historic Places, the California Register of Historical Resources, and local -level evaluation
<br />criteria and integrity requirements.
<br />Our team has conducted thousands of historical resource evaluations and developed detailed historic
<br />context statements for a multitude of property types and architectural styles, including private
<br />residential, commercial, transportation, industrial, educational, medical, ranching, mining, airport, and
<br />cemetery properties, as well as a variety of engineering structures and water conveyance resources.
<br />They also provided expertise on numerous projects requiring conformance with the Secretary of the
<br />Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, served as third -party review consultants,
<br />and served as expert witnesses in legal proceedings.
<br />Cultural and Tribal Cultural Resources Studies
<br />Dudek's cultural resources staff have more than 20 years' experience directing and executing all
<br />phases of cultural resources investigations, including surveys, significance determinations, and data
<br />recovery mitigation programs. Our professionals have the expertise and capability to fulfill on -call
<br />services of any scope and size in any jurisdiction. Their capabilities include constraints/feasibility
<br />analyses, literature overviews and archival research, predictive modeling, field inventories,
<br />archaeological sampling, significance and eligibility evaluations, data recovery, monitoring and
<br />compliance oversight, mitigation implementation, historical studies, landscape studies, Native American
<br />consultation and ethnography, preservation planning, custom GIS-based data management
<br />applications, and CEQA/National Historic Preservation Act documentation.
<br />Biological Resources Assessments
<br />Dudek's biologists work and consult regularly with the USFWS, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, CDFW,
<br />and Regional Water Quality Control Board to obtain project -specific permits that keep projects on
<br />schedule and in compliance. Our staff includes experts in botany, mammalogy, herpetology, entomology,
<br />ornithology, habitat assessment and mapping, spatial analysis, and habitat and wetlands restoration.
<br />Our biological team has surveyed and tracked wildlife movement throughout the County. We have state
<br />and federal permits for surveying, banding, and trapping numerous threatened or endangered wildlife
<br />species, listed plant species, and many other species. Our biologists also have extensive experience
<br />with a range of listed and unlisted special -status plant species.
<br />Air Quality and Greenhouse Gas Emissions Studies
<br />Dudek environmental planners and engineers have prepared air quality impact analyses for
<br />construction and operation of facilities and public infrastructure projects throughout California. Dudek is
<br />familiar with the California Emissions Estimator Model (CalEEMOd) and tailors significance conclusions
