Tsai Suite 200 <br /> E: info@mitchts0aw.com Attorney At Law Pasadena, California 91101 <br /> VIA E-MAIL <br /> May 16, 2023 <br /> City Council <br /> City of Santa Ana <br /> 22 Civic Center Plaza <br /> Santa Ana, CA 92701 <br /> Em: ecommentksanta-ana.org <br /> RE: Agenda Item No. 27: Cabrillo Town Center Project <br /> Dear Mayor Amezcua and Honorable Councilmembers, <br /> On behalf of the Southwest Mountain States Regional Council of Carpenters ("The <br /> Carpenters" or "SWMSRCC"), my Office is submitting these comments to the City <br /> of Santa Ana (the "City") regarding the Water Supply Assessment for the Cabrillo <br /> Town Center Project ("Project"). <br /> The Project entails construction of a mixed-use development consisting of a five-story <br /> mixed-use wrap building with 26,800 square feet of leasable commercial space and <br /> 449 residential units, a townhome community with six three-story buildings <br /> containing 58 units, and associated parking, open space,landscaping, and amenities. <br /> The Carpenters is a labor union representing 63,000 union carpenters in 10 states, <br /> including California, and has a strong interest in well-ordered land use planning and in <br /> addressing the environmental impacts of development projects. Individual members <br /> of SWMSRCC live, work, and recreate in the City and surrounding communities and <br /> would be directly affected by the Project's environmental impacts. <br /> The Carpenters expressly reserves the right to supplement these comments at or prior <br /> to hearings on the Project, and at any later hearing and proceeding related to this <br /> Project.
