9 <br />AESCO Proposal No. P6513 <br />Statement of Qualifications <br />405 Freeway Widening JBetween SR-73 and I-605 Freeway, <br />Orange County, CA-Caltrans <br />AESCO is performing the Quality Verification <br />materials testing and inspection during widening of <br />the 405 Freeway between Euclid Street and the 605 <br />Freeway, a total of 16 miles. The widening project <br />includes the construction of new lanes on the <br />southbound and northbound sides, new retaining <br />walls, bridges, etc. The testing and inspection <br />services included a review of the concrete mix designs, concrete testing and inspection, concrete <br />batch plant inspection, pile inspection and logging, rebar inspection, aggregate testing, welding <br />inspection, subgrade testing and inspection, base material evaluation and testing, compaction testing <br />and inspection, and asphaltic concrete testing. AESCO also prepared the Quality Manual for the <br />project including all forms. An Aerially Deposited Lead (ADL) study was also performed. <br />Project Highlights: <br />• Construction Materials and Soils Inspection and Testing for Freeway Widening Project <br />• Prepared Quality Control Manual for the project <br />• Coordinating and managing construction materials testing and inspection services <br />•Environmental Sampling of Aerially Deposited Lead (ADL) <br />• Asbestos Survey and Abatement Oversight <br />• Environmental assessment of clean import and hydrocarbon impacted soils <br />• Geotechnical Engineering for retaining walls and corrosivity <br />Project Challenges: <br />• AESCO provided resolutions to non-conformance reports (NCR) related to quality issues during <br />construction in a timely manner to keep the project on schedule. Provided corrective actions to be <br />taken and measures to prevent future NCR's. <br />• AESCO provided complete documentation and research associated with any NCR (specifications, <br />standards, and list of procedures) that were affected by the issue.
