<br />The City of Santa Ana encourages the
<br />public to participate in the decision-
<br />making process.The following notice
<br />is being provided so that you can ask
<br />questions,make comments and stay
<br />informed about projects that might be
<br />important to you.We encourage you to

<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN-The City
<br />Council of the City of Santa Ana will hold
<br />a public hearing to receive public
<br />testimony and will take action on the item
<br />described below.
<br />Project Location:1208 East McFadden
<br />Avenue located within the Planned
<br />Shopping Center (C4)zoning district
<br />Project Applicant:Mariscos Hector
<br />Sports Grill (Applicant)and McFadden
<br />Shopping Center LLC (Property Owner)
<br />Proposed Project:City Council De Novo
<br />review of the Planning Commission
<br />decision to approve the applicant's
<br />request to upgrade the existing Type 41
<br />On-sale Alcoholic Beverage Control
<br />(ABC)license (beer and wine sales for
<br />on-premises consumption)to a Type 47
<br />On-Sale Alcoholic Beverage Control
<br />(ABC)license (beer,wine,and distilled
<br />spirits for on-premises consumption).
<br />Environmental Impact:Pursuant to the
<br />California Environmental Quality Act
<br />(CEQA)and the CEQA Guidelines,the
<br />project is exempt from further review
<br />pursuant to Section 15301 of the CEQA
<br />Guidelines.Categorical Exemption ER
<br />No.2023-24 will be filled for this project.
<br />Action Taken by the Planning
<br />Commission on April 24,2023:
<br />Approved Conditional Use Permit (CUP)
<br />No.2023-09 with modified conditions to
<br />allow the sale of alcoholic beverages until
<br />12:00 A.M.if CUP review at six (6)
<br />months indicates no operational issues.

<br />5:45 p.m.,or as soon thereafter as the
<br />matter may be heard,in the City Council
<br />Chamber,22 Civic Center Plaza,Santa
