Most states require EPA608 <br />certification. Students should contact the state HVAC Technician board to gather the most up to date requirements. A <br />summary and links to individual state requirements can be found at this web link: https://www.hvacschool ore/lice nsinR- <br />reauirements/ Applicants, students and the public are encouraged to obtain information directly from each state in which <br />they desire to work. <br />STUDENT NOTICE REGARDING STATE CERTIFICATION AND/OR LICENSURE FOR SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER TREATMENT <br />PROFESSIONALS <br />If a student wants toe a rn anon I in esubstance abuse counseling certificate or degree to provide direct services that involve <br />screening, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of substance use disorder, they will likely need to <br />seek state licensure. <br />While coursework in the alcohol and drug counseling programs often covers a state's educational requirement for <br />licensure, the student will likely need to complete supervised practical training, too. If a student is interested in becoming <br />a licensed alcohol and drug counselor, they should contact their state board or agency for additional information <br />regarding the licensure process and educational requirements. InterCoast currently meets the requirements forthe three <br />certification agencies in California. CCAPP, CAADE, and CADTP. <br />Students should be aware that licensure requirements vary from state to state. If a student moves to another state, they <br />will need to determine the licensure requirements in the state to which they relocate. InterCoast Colleges does not <br />guarantee that the completion of this program will result in state licensure or certification.
