PHARMACY TECHNICIAN <br />High School Diploma or GED Required - Hybrid Program <br />PROGRAM DESCRIPTION <br />This program is designed for those students who desire knowledge and skills in the career as a Pharmacy Technician or related position. Offeredfully <br />on ground or hybrid. Upon completion of all requirements the student will be awarded a Certificate. <br />PROGRAM OBJECTIVES <br />This is an instructional program that prepares Individuals to support pharmacists by providing assistance during patient consultation, counter <br />dispensing operations, and prescription preparation: keeping patient and related health record information; and by performing a wide range of <br />practice -related duties. <br />OCCUPATIONAL OBJECTIVES <br />Pharmacy Technician graduates must become licensed by the California Board of Pharmacy to qualify to work as a Pharmacy Technician in the state <br />of California. Students will need to fill out an application, complete a Live Scan, provide a current picture, produce official high school transcripts, <br />and submit to a drug screen and background check. Licensed graduates will qualify to work as an entry level Pharmacy Technician in both hospital <br />and retail drugstore pharmacies.
