Q60� 6tfNOLOGY SCHOOL- SCHOOL CATALOCti •�`', .,Fs <br />PROCEDURES FOR REQUESTING ACADEMIC ACCOMMODATIONS <br />AFFIRMATIVI- ACTION STATEMENT <br />MODERN TECHNOLOGY SCHOOL is firmly committed to providing programs to participants regardless <br />of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, or medical condition except <br />under particular circumstances where sex, age, medical condition, or disability constitutes either an <br />occupational limitation or limitation in participation in the programs offered. <br />Any reports of Sexual Discrimination under Title IX must be reported directly to the Title IX Coordinator. <br />Modern Technology School's whole policies for Sexual Discrimination are noted on the school's website <br />at www.mtschool.edu. <br />Under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Title III of the Americans With Disabilities Act <br />of 1990, Modern Technology School shall take all necessary steps to ensure that no student with a <br />verified disability is denied the benefits of, excluded from participation in, or otherwise subjected to <br />discrimination in an education program because of the absence of auxiliary aids or academic <br />accommodations. <br />A student with a verified disability may be entitled to auxiliary aids or academic accommodations. The <br />decision for the authorization of such accommodation is the responsibility of the Program Director after <br />a review of documentation verifying the disability and any resulting educational limitations. <br />It is the responsibility of the student to file a written request for services/accommodation with their <br />Program Director. The request should be made in writing and submitted with adequate notice for an <br />effective response. The Program Director will review the request for authorization within sufficient time, <br />and, if approved, a copy will be sent within three (3) days of receipt to the Instructor. The Instructor will <br />implement it immediately. <br />If the Program Director denies the request, the student will be immediately notified of the decision and <br />the student's right to file an appeal with the school's Campus Director. If the student files an appeal, the <br />Campus Director will review the original documentation, the Program Director's decision, and any <br />additional information submitted by the student. The Campus Director will issue a final decision on the <br />appeal within ien (10) days of receiving the request. <br />HOLIDAYS <br />The school observes the following holidays and will not conduct classes on these days: <br />New Year's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous People <br />Day, Thanks i, Jng Day, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & New Year's Eve. <br />Winter Break for Didactic Students Only: <br />No class assignments the week of Christmas and New Year. Dates will be announced on class <br />schedules.
