Tuition Payment, <br />Cancellation, and Refund Policies <br />Registration and Tuition <br />Learnet reserves the right to change tuition and fees, make curriculum changes when <br />Fee <br />necessary, and make substitutions in books and supplies as required without prior notice. <br />Any changes in tuition or fees do not affect enrolled students already in attendance. <br />Payment Methods <br />Learnet accepts payment for tuition, books, equipment, and other fees through cash <br />payment, Visa, MasterCard, or personal or company check. Learnet will also assist students <br />with setting up monthly payment plans. At Learnet's discretion, installment payments may <br />also be arranged. All outstanding student account balances are billed directly to the student <br />upon completion or termination. Failure to satisfy delinquent accounts within a reasonable <br />time will result in the account being submitted to a collection agency for processing. <br />Federal and State <br />Learnet does not participate in federal or state financial grants( PELL/CAL Grant) and loan <br />Grants and Loans <br />programs( Stafford/ Sallie Mae, etc.). <br />If you have received federal student financial aid funds, you are entitled to a refund of <br />moneys not paid from federal student financial aid program funds. If you obtain a loan to <br />pay for an education program, you will have the responsibility to repay the full amount of <br />the loan plus interest, less the amount of any refund. If the student is eligible for a loan <br />guaranteed by the federal or state government and the student defaults on the loan, both <br />following may occur: <br />1. The federal or state government or a loan guarantee agency may take action against <br />the student, including applying any income tax refund to which the person is <br />entitled to reduce the balance owed on the loan. <br />2. The student may not be eligible for any other federal student financial aid at <br />another institution or other government assistance until the loan is repaid. <br />Financial Assistance Learnet students utilize the following financial assistance types toward their tuition <br />Types 1. <br />Workforce Investment Act (WIA): Students funded by this program are monitored <br />and regulated by South Bay Workforce Investment Board and its subsidiary <br />contractors (Worksource Centers). Learnet monitors, operates, and reports <br />students' SAP in accordance with the laws and regulations of South Bay Workforce <br />Investment Board and its subsidiary contractors. <br />2. <br />Veterans Affairs (VA): G.I. Montgomery Bill: Students funded by this program are <br />monitored and regulated by the Department of Veterans Affairs and Bureau for <br />Private Postsecondary Education. Learnet monitors, operates, and reports <br />students' Standard Academic Progress (SAP) in accordance with the laws and <br />regulations by Veterans Affairs, Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education, and <br />Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges. <br />3, <br />Private Vocational Rehabilitation: students funded by this program are monitored <br />and regulated by Case Manager of Rehabilitation and its subsidiary insurance <br />company, Learnet monitors, operates, and reports students' SAP in accordance <br />with the laws and regulations of Vocational Rehabilitation. <br />4. <br />Employment Training Panel (ETP) <br />5. <br />Corporation Fund / Employers: no regulatory agencies are involved, but Learnet <br />monitors and reports students' attendance and SAP to the employers. <br />6. <br />Student loans funded by private lending companies: no regulatory agencies <br />involved, but students are required to repay the lending institution In accordance <br />with the contracted terms and agreement, as well as stay within the boundaries of <br />Learnet's SAP, <br />Last Revision Date on <br />
