SCOPE OF WORK <br />In general, the Consultant shall perform landscape architectural services on an "on -call or as - <br />needed" basis for various project assigned by the City during the term of the agreement. The <br />Consultant shall have demonstrated expertise and experience in the areas of parks and recreation <br />or other municipal projects, in areas that include but are not limited to planning new parks, site <br />specific master planning of existing parks, sports fields & sports courts renovations, skate parks, <br />dog parks, splash pads, bike trails, site lighting, water conservation, habitat restoration, urban <br />forestry, landscape renovations, irrigation renovations, interpretive signage: <br />• Design Expertise: In addition to having a solid understanding of parks and recreation <br />projects, Consultant shall have experience and expertise in sustainable environmental <br />design, low impact development, water wise landscaping and irrigation, current trends, <br />maintenance needs. <br />• Site Specific Master Planning & Concept Development: Consultant shall have <br />ability to participate in site specific master planning exercises and concept <br />development. Consultant shall prepare and deliver colored renderings, 3-1) modeling <br />or other visuals as required to conununicate the project. Consultant shall provide final <br />rendered concept plan upon final approval of the layout. <br />• Community Outreach: If requested, Consultant shall, facilitate community <br />engagement meetings to collect public input, create community engagement tools. <br />• Meetings and Presentations: If requested, Consultant shall attend and/or facilitate <br />meetings with City Staff, Neighborhood Associations, permitting agencies, Boards, <br />Commissions, and/or City Council as required. Consultant shall prepare presentation <br />materials for us in these meetings. <br />• Feasibility Studies: Consultant shall have ability to conduct feasibility studies, <br />analyses and/or preliminary documents for new renovation or alteration projects, to <br />help City determine viability.. <br />• Utility Search and Coordination: Consultant access utility companies and city <br />records and coordinate into design. Consultant shall coordinate with said agencies <br />throughout the design process. <br />• Site Surveying: Consultant shall provide all field survey and topographic work <br />necessary to complete the design effort. <br />• Maps and Mapping Services: Consultant shall ability to provide, if requested. <br />• Contract Documents: Consultant shall have ability to prepare complete plans and <br />specifications for project bid advertisement. City will provide electronic title block files <br />and boiler plate specifications; consultant shall adapt and develop document to include <br />City of Santa Ana RFP 22-097 <br />Page Al-1 <br />
