<br />Dear Ms. Furjanic and Members of the Evaluation Committee:
<br />Verde Design, Inc. is a multi -disciplinary landscape architecture and civil engineering firm focused on public recreational facility
<br />planning, design, and construction administration services for cities, counties, and parks and recreation districts. If selected to
<br />partner with the City of Santa Ana (City), we will draw upon our team's broad experience, developed from working on many capital
<br />improvement projects, such as neighborhood and community parks with a variety of programmatic elements.
<br />To accomplish your goals, Verde Design has proposed a team of qualified, problem -solving professionals, led by myself, Chris
<br />Giannini, as your senior project manager, and Mark Baginski as your project principal. While with a previous firm, I personally
<br />oversaw the design and completion of improvements at the City's Memory Lane Park in 2016. Additionally, Verde Design
<br />has had the privilege of completing more than 750 projects for over 100 public agencies and more than 30 on -call
<br />partnerships, many with similar scope to the City's anticipated projects. If selected as one of your consultants, we will bring
<br />our expertise and knowledge to ensure your facilities continue to successfully serves your citizens, as well as enrich the quality of
<br />life for your community. In direct response to the REP, we offer the following key points, which sets the Verde Design team apart:
<br />• A Unique Understanding of Public Projects: We have an extensive portfolio of successful public recreational
<br />facilities, including over 30 on -call partnerships with public agencies. As a specialist in this market, we understand the
<br />demands placed on both passive and active public spaces. Our team knows how to balance competing budgetary needs
<br />with community desires. As a result, we have created a reputation for developing beautiful and functional designs and public
<br />facilities and spaces that preserve city/county history and identity, all while promoting health, wellness, learning, and fun.
<br />Quality Contract Documents: By implementing our quality control program, our construction documentation
<br />packages have earned recognition from the contracting community for their clarity, ease of execution, and absence of
<br />ambiguities that could lead to potential change orders. This begins with our inhouse review process during the design
<br />phase of the project where at least three licensed professionals review the contract documents. Our uniquely developed
<br />specifications provide step by step quality control checks with stated tolerances built into the construction process.
<br />• A Committed Partner Throughout the Process: We will serve as an extension of your team and continue
<br />working to build strong relationships with your staff by listening to your updated goals and delivering projects that achieve
<br />them. We understand that proactive communication is the key to delivering projects on time and within budget, and our team
