IS115 LINUX SERVER ADMINISTRATION <br />4 UNITS <br />This course reviews the Linux operating <br />system and how open source systems <br />and tools and be used to replicate many <br />of the services offered by other <br />commercial systems. Student review the <br />Linux file system, command line, users <br />and permissions, process management, <br />network services, development tools <br />and basic administration. Formerly <br />IS210, or C450 when taken with 1S115L. <br />IS115L LINUX SERVER ADMINISTRATION <br />LAB <br />2 UNITS <br />COREQUISITE: IS115 <br />This course allows students to configure <br />and administer the Linux operating <br />system and perform tasks as It relates to <br />concepts studied in IS115. Formerly <br />IS210L, or C450 when taken with IS115. <br />IS118 MIXED ENVIRONMENTS AND <br />CLOUD IMPLEMENTATION <br />4 UNITS <br />PREREQUISITE: IS115 <br />This course introduces students to <br />designing and configuring computer <br />systems that incorporate mixed <br />operating systems and mixed <br />deployment environments, including on <br />premises and cloud based deployments. <br />Students are introduces to the Windows <br />Server operating system and methods <br />of integrating Windows based services <br />with Linux based services to produce a <br />cost effective computer system solution <br />forvarious business needs. <br />15118L MIXED ENVIRONMENTS AND <br />CLOUD IMPLEMENTATION LAB <br />2 UNITS <br />COREQUISITE: IS125 <br />This lab allows students to configure <br />and deploy mixed on-premises/cloud <br />environment system utilizing Linux <br />Servers and Windows Servers as it <br />relates to concepts discussed in 15118. <br />IS125 CISCO NETWORKING <br />4 UNITS <br />PREREQUISITE: IS100 <br />This course covers the basic functions <br />and operation of Cisco based network <br />switches and routers. Topics include <br />basic configuration of switches, Virtual <br />LAN's (VLANs), Implementation of <br />routing tables, routing protocols, and <br />ACL's. <br />IS125LCISCO NETWORKING LAB <br />4 UNITS <br />COREQUISITE: 15125 <br />This lab allows students to utilize basic <br />functions, as well as, more advanced <br />functions and operations of network <br />switches and router as it relates to <br />15125. <br />IS128 CISCO SECURITY <br />4 UNITS <br />PREREQUISITE: IS125 <br />This course covers various concepts <br />related to securing a network utilizing <br />Cisco based appliances, including such <br />topics as secure access, VPN, secure <br />routing and switching, Cisco firewall <br />technologies and ASA, IPS and content <br />and endpoint security. <br />IS128L CISCO SECURITY LAB <br />4 UNITS <br />COREQUISITE: IS128 <br />This lab allows students to configure, <br />troubleshoot and secure Cisco based <br />networks using concepts discussed in <br />IS128. <br />IS130 CYBERSECURITY FUNDAMENTALS <br />4 UNITS <br />PREREQUISITE: IS118 <br />This course introduces students to <br />various cybersecurity concepts and <br />fundamental principles of using thread <br />and vulnerability analysis tools. Topics <br />include: cryptography, vulnerability <br />assessment, identity and access <br />management, cloud security, and <br />infrastructure security and controls. <br />IS130L CYBERSE.CURITY FUNDAMENTALS <br />LAB <br />4 UNITS <br />COREQUISITE: IS130 <br />This lab allows students to conduct <br />vulnerability assessments, investigate <br />security risks, identify suspicious pattern <br />of user behavior and other activities <br />related to cybersecurity concepts <br />discussed in IS130. <br />Course Descriptions <br />IS170 INTRODUCTION TO <br />INFORMATION SYSTEMS <br />2 UNITS <br />This course introduces students to the <br />current trends the information <br />technology/systems Industry and <br />discusses general topics such as a survey <br />of the types of Industries, career growth <br />process in the Information <br />technology/systems field, overview of <br />common functional separations, roles of <br />engineersand technicians in the field, <br />and othertopics as relevant. <br />IS215 LINUX SERVER SECURITY <br />2 UNITS <br />PREREQUISITE: IS115 <br />Thiscourse introduces students to <br />administering and securing Linux servers <br />in a network environment. Topics <br />include, securing user accounts, Linux <br />firewall implementations, encrypting <br />and SSH hardening, access control, <br />vulnerability scanning and Intrusion <br />detection. <br />1S215L LINUX SERVER SECURITY LAB <br />2 UNITS <br />COREQUISITE: IS215L <br />This lab allows students to apply <br />concepts learned In IS215 to secure and <br />harden Linux servers in a network <br />environment. <br />IS230A NETWORK SECURITY AND <br />DEFENSE A <br />2 UNITS <br />PREREQUISITE: IS122 <br />This course expands on security <br />concepts covered in IS122 to include <br />more advanced topics such as intrusion <br />detection methods, cryptography, <br />application security, operation security <br />and compliances In regards to IT <br />security. Formerly C430 when taken <br />with 15230AL. <br />IS230AL NETWORK SECURITY AND <br />DEFENSE A LAB <br />1 UNIT <br />COREQUISITE: IS230A <br />This course allows students to apply <br />concepts reviewed In IS230A in a lab <br />setting.
