Councilmember Lopez spoke in support of the item. <br />Councilmember Mendoza spoke in support of the item. <br />Councilmember Phan expressed support for the item. <br />CITY MANAGER COMMENTS <br />MINUTES: City Manager Kristine Ridge reminded the Council that Judge Carter requested <br />the attendance of South County leaders at the hearing scheduled to take place on Friday, <br />October 21, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />AB1234 DISCLOSURE — If the City paid for travel or other expenses this is the time for members <br />of the Council to provide a brief oral report on attendance of any regional board or commission <br />meeting or any conference, meeting or event attended. <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Hernandez requested the meeting be adjourned in memory <br />of Art Lebeau. <br />Councilmember Lopez announced that her office is partnering with OC Habitat to host a <br />park cleanup and wished everyone a Happy Halloween. <br />Councilmember Mendoza reminded the public of the upcoming Dia De Los Muertos, <br />taking place on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the Orange County Heritage Museum. <br />Councilmember Penaloza spoke regarding concerns raised by Delhi and Madison Park <br />community members related to construction on Warner Avenue and the use of City <br />properties for construction equipment storage. <br />Councilmember Phan reminded the community that the federal student loan debt relief <br />website is live and can be accessed via "studentaid.gov". She also announced her <br />participation at the UCLA Housing Symposium, in Lake Arrowhead, California. She <br />congratulated her sister on opening her optometrist office. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Bacerra thanked the community, staff, and the Santa Ana Police <br />Department for their presence at the community meeting regarding the flood control <br />channel along Flower Street, which took place at Saddleback High School. He asked for <br />more drive -through patrols of the trail along Bristol Street between Flower Street and <br />Alton Avenue. He also expressed his gratitude towards the Public Works Department for <br />all their work on the Bristol and Alton Bike Lane. <br />Mayor Sarmiento spoke regarding the potential Orange County Transportation Authority <br />workers' strike and its effects on Santa Ana. He requested that staff add the Anti -Cruising <br />Ordinance to the future items list. He wished everyone a Happy Halloween and Dia de <br />/os Muertos. <br />City Council 12 10/18/2022 <br />
