MEMORANDUM <br />To: Honorable Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem, and <br />Members of the City Council Date: June 20, 2023 <br />Minh Thai, Executive Director, Planning and <br />From: Building Agency <br />Responses to Comments and Clarification on Item 32 on the June 20, 2023 City Council <br />Subject: Meeting Agenda <br />In response to Item 32 on this evening's City Council meeting agenda, Resolutions of the <br />City of Santa Ana City Council Exempting Certain Eligible Parcels in the City of Santa Ana <br />from the Requirements of Assembly Bill 2011 and Senate Bill 6 Pursuant to California <br />Government Code Sections 65912.114, 65912.124, and 65852.24, the City received three <br />comment letters to which it has prepared written responses. Attachment 1 to this memo <br />contains a breakdown of the comments and a written response to each therein. <br />Following publication of the staff report packet for Item 32, the City performed additional <br />analyses which indicate that the total number of surplus units for the alternative sites <br />evaluated pursuant to SB 6 is 20,635, not 12,742, representing an increase in the City's <br />favor of 7,893 units. Attachment 2 to this memo contains the updated table indicating this <br />figure, which is also Attachment 2 to the SB 6 resolution. <br />Staff" are available to answer any questions. <br />Attachments: <br />1.
