On -Call Engineering Services <br />understand the differences that make each of these crossings unique. We have designed walls including <br />soil -nail and ground anchor that use top -down construction techniques, mechanically stabilized earth <br />(MSE), and conventional cantilever walls systems. Our professionals have planned and designed <br />hundreds of structures in California and understand how they need to be designed and built for California <br />conditions, and follow the latest codes and manuals. Our engineers utilize the latest AASHTO 8th Edition <br />Bridge Design Specifications, as well as Caltrans Memos to Designer, Seismic Design Criteria, Standard <br />Plans and Specifications in our designs. Kimley-Horn's bridge design clients include state DOTs, cities, <br />counties, airport authorities, and private developers. Our experience with a variety of structural systems <br />enables us to accurately address a project's needs regarding scope, schedule, and budget. <br />Environmental & Planning Services <br />Kimley-Horn provides a full range of environmental services and permitting for capital improvement <br />projects. This includes CEQA and NEPA review, obtaining regulatory permits, assessing hazardous <br />materials, and completing technical analyses required for environmental documents and permits. In <br />addition, each of these services are supported by our GIS analysts who can complete spatial analysis <br />and maps that are essential for reports and permit applications. Our overall experience means the City <br />has access to a team that can provide comprehensive environmental service. <br />Pavement Rehabilitation <br />Kimley-Horn has a successful track record of designing new and innovative pavement rehabilitation <br />projects nationwide. We offer the City significant experience in newer methods, such as Full Depth <br />Asphalt Recycling (FDAR), pulverization techniques, and Asphalt Rubber and Aggregate Membrane <br />(ARAM) as well as additional in -place pavement recycling techniques. Our team is skilled at pavement <br />rehabilitation projects and other factors associated with pavement design, such as: roadway <br />improvements; construction support; federal funding support; utility coordination; and the reduction of <br />traffic impacts during construction. <br />Drainage and Water Quality <br />Kimley-Horn staff includes watershed planners and modelers, water quality scientists, natural resource <br />specialists, stormwater (hydraulics/ hydrology/floodplain modeling) engineers, GIS technicians, and <br />stream and wetland design specialists. This team of experts has prepared a long list of documents to <br />comply with the various hydrology/water quality regulations over the years. These range from, but are not <br />limited to, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Water Quality Technical Reports (WQTR), <br />Water Pollution Control Plans (WPCP), Water Quality Management Plans (WQMP), and <br />Hydromodification Reports/Plans. To provide the best value to our clients, we stay as current as possible <br />with changes in the regulations throughout California. <br />Landscape and Irrigation <br />From the revitalization of a popular community park to the design and implementation of a downtown <br />streetscape, Kimley-Horn has successfully planned and implemented scores of landscape architecture <br />projects. We have completed dozens of parks and master -plan projects for federal, state, regional, and <br />local governments. As metropolitan urban areas continue to grow, urban design, streetscape design, and <br />landscape architecture have become integral components of roadway and transportation systems that <br />promote inviting environments for users —including pedestrians and bicyclists —to live, work, and play. <br />Revitalizing commercial districts, controlling traffic flows, and providing recreational areas and pedestrian <br />and bicycle facilities in increasingly congested areas are some of the solutions designed by our <br />landscape architects and planners.
