Example Scope of Work
Environmental (Optional)
Since there is Right -of -Way acquisition, and the widening may impact an existing parking area,
there may be a need for an Initial Site Assessment (ISA) on the project. Therefore, if environmental
analysis and reporting needs to be performed, and the City is not performing this work in-house, our
subconsultant, Helix, will complete the environmental work.
Deliverable:
• Required Environmental Document
12. Project Management and Meetings
The key to a successful project is the establishment of a sound project foundation which is set early in
the project process. To accomplish the project goals we would begin by enacting some fundamental
services and techniques. Prior to beginning any of the specific tasks above, we would organize and
manage a kick-off meeting, which would verify the projects precise scope of work, schedule, and
priorities and determine the need, frequency and time of any subsequent meeting(s). This meeting
would immediately be followed -up with a distribution of meeting minutes to all attendees and other
interested parties. RICK would then commence work on the project and give frequent progress reports
to the City.
We propose the following meeting schedule:
• Kick-off meeting
• 30% Conceptual Plan Review Meeting
• 60% Completion Meeting
• 100% Completion Meeting
Throughout the work process, RICK staff would refer to the company's Quality Control Manual and
complete checklists that will be reviewed by the quality control officer and the project manager. This
ensures that every task is performed with the utmost care and attention to detail.
13. Construction Engineering Support (Post Award)
RICK recognizes the importance of timely responses to City requests particularly during the
construction phase of the project. The RICK project manager will remain the single Point -of -Contact
for the City throughout the duration of the project. This project manager will maintain an open line of
communication and be available to respond to the City's request with high priority. It will be the project
manager's responsibility to field requests from the City, solicit input from other team members and
provide a response in a prompt and thorough manner. It will be critical that all correspondence with
the contractor go through the City, be in writing and in the format preferred by the City. The Project
Manager will remain responsible for QA/ QC throughout the construction phase. The project manager
will continue to oversee the completion of the Rick Engineering Quality Control Manual checklists and
review all responses to RFIs and submittals prior to delivery to the City.
If construction inspection services are requested, our subconsultant Murow DC, can provide. The scope
of work for these services can be determined at the onset of the construction bid process.
