<br />Dear Mr. Thomas and Members of the Review Committee:
<br />Alta Planning + Design, Inc. (Alta) is poised to serve the City of Santa Ana (City) in an on -call capacity to deliver a range
<br />of civil engineering and design projects that meet City standards. The Alta Team brings together a core group of civil and
<br />traffic engineers, electrical engineers, landscape architects, environmental planners, and grant writers, who are highly skilled
<br />in their respective fields and knowledgeable in the local context of the City. Through our previous engineering and planing
<br />work with the City's 2016 Safety Education Campaign and the 2020 Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Plan, we understand the
<br />community's safety concerns and bring a team of national experts who can efficiently deliver a variety of capital improvement
<br />projects. Our approach is rooted in creating local solutions that help communities achieve their larger goals for economic
<br />vitality, healthy living, and improved quality of life. The Alta Team offers a number of significant qualifications for this On -Call:
<br />Pedestrian, Bike, and Safety -Focused Design Expertise. While many firms use the expression "multidisciplinary;' it's a
<br />core part of Alta's identity and has been part of our culture since our inception. Our integrated approach allows us to offer
<br />solutions that consider a range of angles, leading to plans and designs that are more context -appropriate, implementable,
<br />and forward -thinking. Whether designing safer intersections or beautifying street corridors, our team understands how to
<br />utilize over 180 multidisciplinary staff to integrate sustainable elements into our designs, and recommend solutions tailored to
<br />a given timeframe or budget. This focused expertise, backed by scalable firm and subconsultant resources, will enable us to
<br />support the City on a range of projects.
<br />Local Knowledge and an Experienced, Cohesive Team. We understand the big picture and can go into this On -Call for
<br />Engineering Services with a clear understanding of the City's need to efficiently deliver projects. We are currently providing
<br />project approval and environmental documentation (PAED) services for the City of Placentia's Atwood Multi -Purpose
<br />Trail, collaborating with the City of Placentia, Orange County Public Works and Flood Control District, and Caltrans D12
<br />throughout the process. Through our previous work, we are familiar with Santa Ana's character and opportunities, the
<br />challenges facing its transportation networks, and its aspirations regarding safety improvements.
<br />To provide the most well-rounded suite of services to successfully deliver projects through this On -Call Contract, Alta
<br />has partnered with the following subconsultants who we have existing relationships with from collaborations on projects
<br />throughout the region:

<br />• GMU, Inc. (providing Geotechnical and Pavement Engineering)
<br />• Calvada Surveying, Inc. (DVBE/MBE/SBE, providing Topographic and Boundary Surveying)
<br />• Monument, Inc. (WBE/SBE/DBE, providing Right -of -Way Studies).
