He has extensive experience in
evaluation of geotechnical engineering design and failure analysis. He
is an expert in seismic hazard analyses, non -linear analysis of structures
using earthquake time histories, liquefaction evaluations, slope stability
analyses, and foundation investigations. He has managed geotechnical
investigations to provide recommendations for design as well as forensic
investigations for litigation support. He has developed geotechnical
recommendations for deep and shallow foundation systems, pavement
design, remedial grading, shoring for deep excavations, and mitigation
of expansive soils and landslides.
Long Beach Airport Parking Structure I Long Beach, CA
Principal -In -Charge. Mr. Kim provided technical oversight and
developed value -engineered foundation recommendations that enabled
supporting the 5-level parking structure on spread footings instead of
costlier pile foundations.
Westminster Police Station Parking Structure I Westminster, CA
Principal - In- Charge. Mr. Kim provided geotechnical services for the
City's new Police Department Parking structure.
