Microsoft Project, which is a necessary tool for Project <br />Management and Six Sigma Professionals, will be taught to the advanced level. Student will learn the basics of Lean Six Sigma and by the <br />end will be able to apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies into a project. To earn Sigma Certification Students will need to pass class exams <br />Students will be awarded their belt from the instructor upon approval of the project. Students will learn the PMBOK methods of Project <br />Management. <br />Admissions Requirement: See Page 288 "Admissions Process" <br />Minimum of prior education: Basic knowledge of PC desktop operation or equivalence <br />Minimum graduation requirements: Attendance 80%, Exams passed at 70% <br />Instruction Mode: Classroom, Online, Hybrid <br />Prerequisites <br />This course is designed for professionals with Five years or more experience as a Project Manager and a Basic knowledge of PC desktop <br />operation or equivalency is required <br />Acquired Skills <br />Students will learn both Lean and Six Sigma methodologies including the DMAIC Model and how to use the model in business analysis and <br />process improvement. Change Management and Project Selection Strategies along with Measurement Systems Analysis, Histograms, Pareto, <br />Box Plot and Scatter Plot. Generating Root Cause Hypothesis, Testing and Process Control. Project Communication and Replication. Project <br />Management will be taught from the Basics including identifying concepts of project management, defining the project, initiating the project, <br />planning the project and planning the project schedule. Additionally, students will learn to plan for quality, resources, procurements, risk, <br />stakeholder engagement and communications. Executing a project and working with stakeholders along with controlling and closing the <br />project. In the Agile course students will learn Core Agile Concepts, the Agile Manifesto, common Agile methodology elements, Agile Planning, <br />Interactions, and the Interpersonal Aspects of Agile. Effective Communications skills along with Management and Presentation skills will also <br />be taught. <br />Student will learn to design and track well -formed projects by gathering requirements, creating a project plans and assessing project risk while <br />managing multiple business priorities. In addition, the student will learn how to use a computer program (Microsoft Project) as a tool for <br />projects.
