General Course Description r <br />SQL Server is a vital tool for businesses and large organizations around the world, as it allows them to gain better insight into their data <br />and leverage the information to make more informed decisions. This information can mean the difference between success and failure <br />as businesses continually work to understand industry trends, customer behavior, and more. Earning an MCSA: SQL 2016 Business <br />Intelligence Development certification validates your extract, transform, and load (ETL) and data warehouse skills, along with those <br />for implementing BI solutions using multidimensional and tabular data models and online analytical processing (CLAP) cubes. This <br />certification will qualify you for a position as a BI developer. <br />Admissions Requirement: See Page 288 "Admissions Process" <br />Minimum of prior education: Basic knowledge of PC desktop operation <br />Minimum graduation requirements: Attendance 80%, Exams passed at 70% <br />Instruction Mode: Classroom, Online, Hybrid <br />Prerequisites <br />Basic knowledge of PC desktop operation <br />Acquired Skills <br />Skills acquired are not limited to, but include: Create Transact -SQL SELECT queries. Query data by using subqueries and APPLY. Create <br />database programmability objects by using Transact -SQL. Implement error handling and transactions. Implement data types and <br />NULLS <br />Design and implement dimension tables. Design and implement fact tables. Design and implement indexes for a data warehouse <br />workload. Design storage for a data warehouse. Design and implement partitioned tables and views. Design and implement an extract, <br />transform, and load (ETL) control flow by using a SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) package. Design and implement an ETL data <br />flow by using an SSIS package. Implement an ETL solution that supports incremental data extraction. Create a multidimensional <br />database by using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS). Design and publish a tabular data model.
