It is an international, vendor -neutral <br />certification that recognizes a technician's ability to describe the features and functions of networking components and to install, <br />configure and troubleshoot basic networking hardware, protocols and services. CompTIA Security+ validates the knowledge <br />and skills of a professional in the field of security, one of the fastest -growing fields in IT. Security + proves competency in <br />system security, network infrastructure, access control and organizational security. In addition, students will gain an understanding of how software applications work <br />and how to install and configure them. For every devise and process students will have a conceptual and hands on <br />troubleshooting experience. Understanding networking and networking cabling, hubs, switches, routers, bridges, servers, <br />workstations, IP subnetting, WAN/LAN typology, and firewalls.
