Welding <br />Instructional Weeks: <br />Normal Time to Complete: <br />Delivery Method Offered: <br />Program Objective <br />Course Descriptions <br />Welding <br />Diploma <br />(ACCSC' Accredited Campuses) <br />36 <br />40 <br />Hybrid andln-Residence** <br />The welding program provides students with training in various processes including Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)- <br />MIG, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)-TIG, Flux Cored Arc Welding, Oxyfuel <br />Welding and Cutting and Pipe Welding. The content Includes, but is not limited to, employability skills, safe and efficient <br />work practices, blueprints reading, identifying metals and basic shop skills. <br />Lab activities are an integral part of this program and provide instruction in the various processes, use of current Industry <br />standards, practices, and techniques. This program involves a combination of hands-on lab work and related classroom <br />instructions. While not required for employment, students will receive OSHA 10 safety training and CPR First Aid <br />training. <br />The program is 36 weeks long and consists of nine modules, Tests and/or quizzes are administered weekly during <br />each didactic module; however, there is no final examination for the program.
