Students will <br />recognize and manage the special needs patient. <br />Prerequisites: <br />DHCA2502 <br />DHCA2505: Dental Hygiene V <br />Credit Hours: 5.5 <br />Clock Hours: 45/0/150 <br />In this course, the student demonstrates and maintains <br />clinical competency of dental hygiene skills. Students <br />will execute a comprehensive care plan for an <br />advanced periodontal case -type patient. Students will <br />present a case study based on the aforementioned <br />plan. Online <br />Hours: 40) <br />Dental material science and theory will be presented <br />with a focus on common dental materials. Online <br />Hours: 40) <br />Basic principles and ethical decision making skills and a <br />Legal overview of dentistry will be discussed and all <br />aspects of dental care delivery in offices Including <br />business practices and communication skills. <br />Additionally, the course will cover basic marketing skills <br />for dental assistants. <br />DNTA1339: Diagnostics and Orthodontics <br />Credit Hours: 3 <br />Clock 80 (Theory 40, Lab 40) (Ground 40.
