Candidates for these programs must achieve the <br />minimum composite score to move forward in the <br />admissions process. <br />Those meeting the Wonderlic SLE minimum score <br />requirement and HESI minimum score requirement will <br />be placed on a waitlist, if applicable, The list will be <br />sorted high to low based on the current waltlist criteria. <br />Students will be selected from the waltlist and notified <br />at least two weeks to the start of the program. <br />Program -Specific Selective <br />Admissions Criteria <br />In addition to meeting the General Admissions <br />Requirements, applicants to the following programs <br />must also meet the following selective criteria. <br />Dental Hygiene <br />The Dental Hygiene program requires an interview with <br />the Program Director for admission, The Program <br />Director Interview takes into consideration previous <br />academic performance, healthcare experience, and <br />overall professional presentation. The outcome of the <br />Program Director interview is considered in ranking <br />applicants, <br />Seat selection for the Dental Hygiene program is <br />typically determined 3o days prior to the program start <br />date. A deposit of $500 is due within seven (7) days of <br />being offered a seat in the program. This deposit is <br />required in order to hold your place in the program and <br />is refundable if you should decide not to continue with <br />your enrollment prior to your start date. The time period <br />for seat selection varies by campus based on the <br />number of applicants. <br />Physical Therapist Assistant <br />The Physical Therapist Assistant program requires an <br />interview with the Program Director for admission, The <br />Program Director interview takes into consideration <br />previous academic performance, healthcare <br />experience, and overall professional presentation. The <br />outcome of the Program Director interview is <br />considered in ranking applicants. <br />Respiratory Therapy <br />The Respiratory Therapy program requires an interview <br />with the Program Director for admission. The Program <br />Director interview takes into consideration previous <br />academic performance, healthcare experience, and <br />overall professional presentation. The outcome of the <br />Program Director Interview is considered in ranking <br />applicants. <br />Vocational Nursing <br />The Vocational Nursing program requires an interview <br />with the Program Director for admission. The Program <br />Director interview takes into consideration previous <br />academic performance, healthcare experience, and <br />overall professional presentation. The outcome of the <br />Program Director Interview is considered In ranking <br />applicants. <br />Readmission <br />Effective; 06/10/2022 <br />It is Concorde's policy to encourage previously <br />withdrawn students to return to school to complete <br />their education. <br />Students must meet all entrance requirements in place <br />at the time of readmission, The reentry process requires <br />review and approval of the student's financial status, <br />financial aid eligibility (when applicable), completion of <br />enrollment agreement, collection and review of official <br />transcripts, as well as prior academic performance and <br />any other documentation required by the program the <br />student is reentering. Students may be required to <br />demonstrate skill competency prior to readmission and <br />may have to repeat a course(s) depending on the <br />results. Readmission is contingent upon space <br />availability and requires final approval of the Campus <br />President. Returning students will be enrolled into the <br />program curriculum in place at time of reentry; <br />exceptions may apply for students who are withdrawn <br />in good standings. Students who are dismissed from <br />the program are not eligible for readmission. Under <br />certain conditions, students may be required to <br />complete and pass a drug screening, at their expense, <br />prior to readmission as outlined in the Drug Screening <br />section of this catalog. <br />Criminal Background Check <br />Effective 04/15/2022 <br />It is Concorde's policy to ensure that enrolling students <br />are aware of the potential effect and consequences of <br />past criminal behaviors. Externship/clinical sites, <br />employers or state/national licensing agencies have <br />requirements that could prevent a student from <br />completing the program or finding employment in his/ <br />her chosen field. Consent to perform a criminal <br />background check must be completed and received as <br />part of the admissions process. Results will be <br />evaluated immediately upon receipt, but no later than <br />the add/drop period. Because convictions, guilty pleas <br />or note contendre pleas for certain drug or alcohol <br />related, fraud based or other serious crimes could <br />prevent a student from being assigned to an extern or <br />clinical site, or prevent a student from obtaining <br />licensure or certification, students will be advised <br />accordingly, A listing of the specific offenses which will <br />make it difficult, if not impossible to be placed at a <br />clinical site or find employment can be obtained from <br />the Institution, <br />2022-2023 Garden Grove Catalog I Publication Date: May 20, 2023 1 Effective July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023 <br />11 <br />
