Federal Pell Grants for which a return of funds is <br />required, <br />6, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity <br />Grants (FSEOG) for which a return of funds is <br />required, <br />Concorde will return the unearned aid within forty-five <br />(45) days from the date the school determined the <br />student withdrew, <br />When the total amount of unearned aid is greater than <br />the amount returned by Concorde Career College from <br />the student's account, the student is responsible for <br />returning unearned aid to the appropriate Title IV <br />program as follows; <br />1, Unsubsidized Direct Stafford Loans (other than <br />PLUS loans),' <br />2, Subsidized Direct Stafford Loans.' <br />3• Federal Perkins Loans (if applicable).' <br />4. Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity <br />Grants (FSEOG) for which a return of funds is <br />required" <br />Loan amounts are returned in accordance With the <br />terms of the promissory note, <br />- Unearned federal grant amounts to be returned by the <br />student Will be reduced by 50% <br />Within forty-five (45)days of the date the school <br />determined the student withdrew, the student will be <br />notified in writing if he or she is required to return any <br />federal grant aid (Federal Pell or FSEOG). The student is <br />considered to be in an overpayment status. A student <br />who owes a federal grant overpayment remains eligible <br />for Title IV funds for a period of forty-five (45) days from <br />the earlier of the date the school sends a notification to <br />the student of the overpayment or the date the school <br />was required to notify the student of the overpayment. <br />If during the forty-five (45)-day period the student <br />repays the overpayment to the school or signs a <br />repayment agreement with the U.S. Department of <br />Education, the student will remain eliglble for further <br />Title IV funds, If during the forty-five (45)-day period the <br />student fails to repay the overpayment or sign a <br />repayment agreement with the US. Department of <br />Education, the student Is considered to be in an <br />overpayment status and, thus, ineligible for any <br />additional Title IV aid until that amount is repaid. <br />Cal Grant Refund Policy <br />Effective: 05/19/2023 <br />Cal Grant policies state that if a student is charged <br />tuition that meets or exceeds the Cal Grant award, the <br />Cal Grant award does not need to be adjusted based on <br />a withdrawal or leave of absence, However, Cal Grant <br />recipients may want to rescind their Cal Grant and notify <br />the California Student Aid Commission of their leave or <br />withdrawal in order to preserve their eligibility for a <br />future term, Students can process a leave of absence <br />request with the California Student Aid Commission <br />online at wwwcsac.ca,aov and click the link <br />"WebGrants4Students° In this case, the student would <br />be responsible for covering the tuition balance on his/ <br />her student account. If a student is dismissed or <br />withdraws from school, all unearned Title IV funds will <br />be refunded to the U.S, Department of Education, and <br />any unearned funds will be returned to Cal Grant or <br />State Funds and lastly, to Private Loans accordingly, <br />Refund Procedures for Non -Title <br />IV Financial Assistance <br />Refunds for state aid programs and applicable third - <br />party funding agencies (e,g„ Veterans Administration, <br />WIA, etc.) will be calculated as stated in the <br />Cancellation & Refund provisions published in this <br />catalog and in the student's Enrollment Agreement, Any <br />state or third -party funding agency refund due will be <br />calculated based on the agency contract or guidelines. <br />2022-2023 Garden Grove Catalog i Publication Date; May 20, 2023 i Effective July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023 <br />41 <br />
