Approve an Agreement and Appropriation Adjustment Recognizing Grant Revenue in an <br />amount not to exceed $9,928 for the California State Library for the Zip Books Program <br />Department(s): Library <br />Recommended Action: 1. Authorize the Library Services Director to execute a Grant <br />Agreement via DocuSign, accepting grant funds in the amount of $9,928 for the Zip Books <br />Program, subject to non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City <br />Attorney (Agreement No. 2022-230). <br />2. Approve an appropriation adjustment to recognize $9,928 in grant revenue from the <br />California State Library and appropriate $9,928 into the corresponding expenditure account <br />to implement the program. (Requires five affirmative votes) <br />12. Agreement with the Delhi Center to Lease Space for a New Library Branch (General Fund) <br />Department(s): Library <br />Recommended Action: Authorize the City Manager to execute a lease agreement with <br />the Delhi Center for 2,465 square feet of leased space and adjacent exterior space for a <br />new Library Branch, for a ten-year term beginning March 1, 2023, with an option for two <br />five-year renewals, monthly rent rate of $3,550.00 with an annual 3% increase, subject to <br />non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney (Agreement No. <br />2022-239). <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Penaloza expressed excitement for the new library space and <br />requested a correction to the staff report that the last number of the first paragraph in the <br />Discussion Section of the staff report should read "2023" not "2024.
