<br />TOPIC: Amend Blanket Purchase Orders for Painting Services
<br />AGENDA TITLE
<br />Amend the Blanket Order Contract with 1 Solorio, Inc., GDL Painters, Inc., Mear
<br />Construction, Inc., Prime Painting Contractors, Inc., and US National Corp. by
<br />Increasing the Annual Aggregate Amount Not to Exceed $1,500,000 for the Remainder
<br />of the Contract Term (Specification No. 20-153) (General Fund and Non -General Fund)
<br />RECOMMENDED ACTION
<br />Amend the blanket purchase order contracts with 1 Solorio, Inc., GDL Painters, Inc.,
<br />Mear Construction, Inc., Prime Painting Contractors, Inc., and US National Corp. for
<br />painting services to increase the annual amount by $1,300,000, for a revised annual
<br />aggregate amount not to exceed $1,500,000, for the remainder of the current one-year
<br />term expiring March 15, 2024, and two one-year renewal periods, subject to non -
<br />substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney.
<br />DISCUSSION
<br />On March 16, 2021, at the conclusion of a competitive bidding process, the City Council
<br />approved blanket purchase order contracts with 1 Solorio, Inc., GDL Painters, Inc.,
<br />Mear Construction, Inc., Prime Painting Contractors, Inc., and US National Corp. for a
<br />two-year period from March 16, 2021 to March 15, 2023, with provisions for three one-
<br />year renewal options. The services provided through these contracts are used by
<br />various City departments for painting services. With recent and ongoing renovations,
<br />building improvements, and vandalism, painting services have become more frequent.
<br />Staff is requesting to increase the blanket purchase order contracts for painting
<br />services by an annual aggregate amount of $1,300,000, for a revised annual aggregate
<br />amount not to exceed $1,500,000 for the remainder of the contract term.
<br />FISCAL IMPACT
<br />There is no fiscal impact at this time. The Public Works Agency (PWA) will follow the
<br />established on -call services process during the FY 2023-2026 contractual term for
<br />requesting fiscal review and authorization. Prior to utilizing any of these on -call
<br />services, PWA staff must receive Finance and Management Services Agency approval
<br />of funding and accounts to ensure that funds are available under the $1,500,000
<br />aggregate limit of these contracts. Upon successful completion of this fiscal review, a
