Exhibit A <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />RFP NO.: 23-014 <br />CONSUMER CONFIDENCE REPORT (CCR) AND AUXILIARY SERVICES <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />A. INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND <br />The City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency —Water Resources Division oversees and maintains <br />the daily operations of the Water System and Sanitary Sewer System. The City's water system <br />it's comprised of approximately 478 miles of water mains, and the sewer system has <br />approximately 390 miles of sewer mains. We serve all the City of Santa Ana and their 333,000 <br />residents and businesses. We strive to provide award winning potable water and good public <br />service to each resident and business in the City. <br />The City is seeking agencies and professionals interested in providing services through <br />innovative and informative content to improve and relay City messaging for water resources <br />issues and related information. The focus for these services is to create the annual Consumer <br />Confidence Report (CCR), and water content services, and strategic communication pieces as <br />the City focuses on delivering these messages to the residents, businesses and stakeholders. <br />The City is looking for opportunites to better communicate water related issues and to keep <br />everyone informed. <br />B. CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES <br />The selected consultants are intended to, among other items previously stated, assist and <br />provide the City with resources and materials to the City on strategic communication, message <br />delivery and other technical documents such as the preparation of the consumer confidence <br />report (CCR's). <br />The Consultants shall provide all labor, materials, services, and equipment necessary for the <br />services described herein. The Consultant shall possess all permits, licenses, and approvals <br />necessary to provide goods/services required in the Scope of Work. <br />It is the sole responsibility of the consultants to comply with all copyright rules and regulations <br />when it pertains to images, logos, graphics, drawings, and any other intellectual property and <br />materials. <br />C. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Public water providers are required by California Health & Safety Code §116470 and California <br />Code of Regulations, Title 22, Article 20 to prepare an annual water quality Consumer <br />Confidence Report (CCR) and provide it to their customers by July 1st of each year. The CCR <br />summarizes information regarding the water quality of the City's local and import water sources, <br />detected contaminants, compliance with drinking water regulations (including monitoring <br />requirements), and educational outreach information. The successful Consultant will need to <br />review the State Water Resources Control Board Division of Drinking Water's annual Preparing <br />Your California Drinking Water Consumer Confidence Report Guidance for Water Suppliers for <br />detailed guidelines. <br />The City of Santa Ana is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms to prepare and deliver <br />City of Santa Ana RFP 23-014 <br />Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) and Auxiliary Services <br />Page 13 <br />
