I love my city. My kids were born and are being raised in my
city. I would like to request the following:
Direct City Manager to have SAPID consistently
DETAIN any individuals who are under the influence of drugs or controlled substances(it is
STATE LAW!!!)
Transport them to Jail for processing and prior to release, provide them with information on available substance-abuse treatment
services If possible, before release from Santa Ana Jail, individuals who are not from Santa Ana be offered transportation to their home
to reunite them with family
We need the other council members to be on board with this or else it will not happen. And when we mean business. We the residents
are sick and tired of the homeless issue. We need solutions. We need you all to back Councilman Becerra on this!
This should be a top priority for ALL council members.
I appreciate your time.
Thank you,
Jazmin M.Aguilera
Concerned resident of Santa Ana.
10
