State Licensure Requirements <br />Graduates of the Registered Nursing program must meet the licensure requirements of the Board of <br />Registered Nursing (BRN) in order to practice in California including: <br />• Appropriate Fees paid to Board of Registered Nursing at time of online application submission. <br />• Completed "Application for Licensure by Examination" submitted online using BreEZe account. <br />• Completed fingerprints using either the Live Scan Process or the Applicant Fingerprint Card (Hard <br />Card) processing method. <br />• If applicable: Completed "Request for Accommodation of Disabilities" form(s). <br />• Transcripts sent directly from your school of nursing. <br />• If applicable: Documents and/or letters explaining prior convictions or disciplinary action and <br />attesting to your rehabilitation as directed in the "Section 11: Reporting Prior Discipline Against <br />Licenses". <br />Further details of Registered Nursing licensure requirements in California are available online at: <br />httl2s:/Irn.ca.gov/al2l2licants/index.shtml. <br />State Boards of Nursing in many states require graduation from an approved school of nursing. Please be <br />aware that if you are deemed eligible for licensure in California using another method of qualifying (i.e., <br />military experience or equivalent education and experience) you may not be eligible for licensure by <br />endorsement in other states. <br />Registered Nursing graduates intending to practice in another state must meet licensing requirements in <br />that state prior to practice.
