2020-2022 CITY COUNCIL <br />ROLL CALL <br />MINUTES: Acting Clerk of the Council Norma Orozco conducted roll call. <br />Councilmembers Hernandez, Lopez, Mendoza, Penaloza, and Phan, Mayor Pro Tem <br />Bacerra, and Mayor Sarmiento were all present in person. <br />PRESENTATION OF THE COLORS <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />NATIONAL ANTHEM <br />WORDS OF INSPIRATION <br />PUBLIC COMMENT — Agendized items only. <br />Honor Guard, Santa Ana Police <br />Department <br />Kaiya Gonzales <br />Olivia Langford <br />Pastor Nati Alvarado <br />MINUTES: Fernando Delgado spoke of his love for the City of Santa Ana, the positive <br />change the current Council has made in the City, and wished the outgoing <br />councilmembers a bright future. <br />Theodora Mendez (translation: Spanish) wished incoming Councilmember Vazquez <br />and Mayor Amezcua a warm welcome and expressed interest in working together to <br />strive for a more equitable and just City of Santa Ana. <br />Adelaida Mateo (translation: Spanish) spoke about her experience learning of the <br />tenant's'rights in the City of Santa Ana and thanked Councilmember Lopez for her <br />advocacy. <br />Senator Tom Umberg thanked Councilmember Mendoza and Mayor Sarmiento for their <br />leadership and hard work while serving on the Council. He welcomed Mayor -Elect <br />Amezcua and expressed excitement for their future partnership in ensuring the <br />community continues to grow and thrive. <br />Resolution Declaring the November 8, 2022 General Municipal Election Results - <br />Measures W and X and the Election of Certain Officers <br />Department(s): Clerk of the Council Office <br />Recommended Action: 1.Resolution No. 2022-096 - Adopt a resolution <br />declaring the results of the General Municipal Election held in the City on <br />November 8, 2022. <br />
